Deaerators in industry

 

                We know that losses of metal due to corrosion range from 10 to 20% of the total annual steel production. The main reason of corrosion is interaction of metal with water and dissolved gases in it. Often it is impossible to use active methods of protection and using of coatings or stainless steels becomes very expensive.   That is why one of the main victims of corrosion is equipment for water supply and treatment.

                Removing dissolved gases from water leads to decreasing of negative impact from interaction with water down to zero. In this case the deaerator becomes a useful part of any pipeline system or any technology where water or steam is used. A Deaerator is a necessary component for a steam turbine for example, but power plants are not their only use.

                For more than 30 years spray-type deaerators are known as good and flexible equipment, for the power and heat industry.               Unfortunately also no further development of the technology and the process.

                This is where Advanced Deaeration Technology picked up the chance to upgrade an old development in a state of the art new deaeration concept. With the technology of today we designed new sprayers, new deaeration vessels and internals under Russian patent.

                A Sprayer with a full hydro dynamical design where pressure drop and spray pattern are optimized due to high-tech computer simulations.

                A complete new design of the steam and hot water rakes, where an optimal heat exchange is secured, also when the deaerator is running on low or high level.

Sprayer and vessel combinations exactly covering Russian designs of deaerators, so exchange is easy and without any technical obstacle.

                The Combination of thermal and spray technology in our devices allows to increase the contact area of sprayed water with heating steam. Another thing is that steam-air mixture goes through the sprayed film and air cannot dissolve in heated water droplets and films as solubility approximately zero.  Due to the fact that steam condensates on water, we can provide deep deaeration with very low steam losses.           We know that traditional deaerators lose 1-2 kg of steam per ton of outlet water. Our devices waste less than 0,13 kg of steam per ton of deaerated water.

                The Combination of storage tank and top tank in a single vessel saves not only space, material and heat insulation, but also increases the efficiency of the process due to the absence of stagnant zones and constant contact with the heating medium.

                The Improved design of injection tubes allows the heating medium to interact with the entire volume of water, even when large deviations occur from the nominal level.

                By considering hydrodynamics and heat transfer, features of different heating medium we force gases to be removed from everywhere.
